We’re honoured to be featured in the Winter 2024 issue of Our Homes Magazine, highlighting one of our recent Toronto projects that blends science, beauty, and daily ritual.

Titled “Crafting Culinary Rituals for Modern Retirees,” the feature showcases how designer Gabrielle Kozhukh-Joo reimagined a family’s kitchen into a minimalist wellness-focused retreat. The design supports both physical and emotional well-being through natural light, mindful materials, and neuroaesthetic principles that enhance daily rhythms.

At the heart of the story is a celebration of connection,  from the sculptural hood inspired by nature’s archways to the pub-style second island designed for shared meals and casual gatherings. Each detail was intentionally crafted to promote calm, belonging, and joy.

“The arch isn’t just aesthetic,” Gabrielle shares. “It symbolizes an invitation to creativity with cooking rituals and overall inspiration.”

This feature reflects the essence of Mindwell Design’s mission, to create spaces that nurture clarity, connection, and vitality at every stage of life.
